This light features 360 degrees of illumination without reflection with a steeper angle than the standard ring-type LED, lighting more from the side. This is especially useful for inspecting slightly uneven surfaces and scratches. Other uses include inspection of BGA solder balls, edge extraction, wafers or glass substrates for scratches and stains, and reading laser engravings. FDR models illuminate at an inward-facing, completely horizontal angle.
